Let them eat cake pops!
This past Saturday, Sterling Affair took part in the annual Old Westbury Gardens Taste of Spring event, which saw a couple hundred of central Long Island’s most fabulous and fashionable foodies come out for an evening of small bites and wine provided by area caterers and restaurants.
Judging by the sizable and adoring crowd gathered at the Sterling table throughout the evening, it seems our food was the hit of the night. Just ask Christine of Epicurean Bliss who paid us the amazing compliment of having “the best ‘tastes’ for two years in a row.” You like us! You really like us!
Sterling Affair presented a well received mix of savory and sweet this year. Our Pistachio Sugared Beignets w/ Fruit Filling were the runaway hit of the night. Additional savory treats included Smoked Trout Salad in Purple Potato Cups, freshly cooked Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto and Bacon Popcorn which we served in mini takeaway bags. Our sweet selection included three different flavors or sorbet (Strawberry, Lemon and Basil), as well as our overwhelmingly popular Cake Pops.
