Just ask Christine of <a href="http://epicureanbliss.com/2012/04/30/springtime-at-old-westbury-gardens/" title="Epicurean Bliss" target="_blank">Epicurean Bliss</a> who paid us the amazing compliment of having “the best ‘tastes’ for two years in a row.” You like us! You really like us!</p> <p><a href="http://www.sterlingaffair.com" title="Sterling Affair" target="_blank">Sterling Affair</a> presented a well received mix of savory and sweet this year. Our Pistachio Sugared Beignets w/ Fruit Filling were the runaway hit of the night. Additional savory treats included Smoked Trout Salad in Purple Potato Cups, freshly cooked Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto and Bacon Popcorn which we served in mini takeaway bags. The benefit event for 400 people marked the 5th Anniversary of <a href="http://www.yearup.org" title="Year Up" target="_blank">Year Up</a>, wonderful NYC-based non-profit that provides guidance and support to urban young adults in an effort to bridge education and training gaps and prepare them for fulfilling careers and futures. As part of a time-honored tradition, the first off the ship gets to share the first kiss with a loved one.</p> <p>23-year-old Gaeta was greeted by her girlfriend of two years, Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell, 22, and the two locked lips while the crowd gathered around them cheered.</p> <p>“It’s something new, that’s for sure,” Gaeta said after the historical smooch. “It’s nice to be able to be myself.
